About the Organization | WHO WE ARE Goodwill Industries of Central Illinois is a non-profit organization with 11 stores, seven donation centers, a logistics center and an online auction site. In addition, we operate two employment service centers and a home for veterans experiencing homelessness. The money raised by the sale of donations goes to fund our free programs. Our programs include: helping people find employment, assisting our veterans with job services and resource referral, serving youth around the area with several different programs, and operating a 15-bed home for veterans. The Client Advocate will work one-on-one with clients to ensure they are provided with the resources, training, and support they need to develop their job readiness and overcome their barriers so they can meet their employment goals. Under the direction of the Program Manager, the primary responsibility of the Client Advocate is to work one-on-one with clients to ensure they are provided with the resources, training, and support they need to develop their job readiness and overcome their barriers so they can meet their employment goals. Responsibilities will include client intake and assessment, development of an Individualized Employment Plan and actionable goals, coaching, training, advocacy, referrals, providing resources, appropriate training recommendations, including needed accommodations, case noting, and consulting with internal and external support personnel, among others. This position will have responsibility for an assigned scope of program services, that will include ensuring program goals are met and that fiscal and grant outcomes are achieved as well as the Case Manager plays an integral role in Goodwill Program Services, and serves as a key liaison between the participant, agencies, and local businesses.
