| POSITION TITLE: Assistant Professor of Environmental Science REPORTS TO: Math & Science Division Chair, Dr. Marygrace Kaiser POSITION SUMMARY: The Division of Science and Mathematics at Eureka College invites applications for a full-time position in Environmental Science at the rank of Assistant Professor, starting August 2026. The successful candidate will teach 24 credits annually, along with assisting in advising environmental science and biology majors and occasionally mentoring senior thesis projects as part of the college’s Honors Program. The environmental science faculty may be required to participate in the college’s interdisciplinary programs including first year seminar or 10 Essentials (general education) science courses at Eureka College. This position has the potential to be offered as a 1-year Visiting Assistant Professor position (with the potential for becoming tenure-track) if degree qualifications and/or preferred experience are not met on day one. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Teach 12 credit hours each semester (24 credits per academic year) of undergraduate coursework in mathematics. Courses in 2026-27 academic year will likely include:

WORK SCHEDULE: Normal academic schedules include classes and labs offered during normal work hours Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00pm.
