Friday to Tuesday, 6:20am - 2:50pm
JOB SUMMARY
Cresco Labs is seeking a well-organized, detail-oriented Lead Gardener - Mothers and Propagation. The Lead Gardener - Mom/Prop will oversee a team responsible for caring and managing mom genetics and cutting and cloning to meet production targets. The Lead Gardener - Mom/Prop is also responsible for ensuring that all processes, training requirements, schedules, policies and procedures are followed.
CORE JOB DUTIES
- Ensuring the propagation production goals are met
- Responsible for uniform cloning methods, producing healthy clones and delivery consistent, high-quality results
- Responsible for overall plant care, including cutting and rooting plants
- Training staff, adhering to policies and processes, and maintenance of inventory
- Leading teams of agents in topping, skirting, transplanting and moving plants
- Responsible for data entry, track & trace and payroll
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Demonstrated experience training, leading and/or mentoring junior staff or new hires preferred.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing a large-scale agriculture facility preferred.
- Two years’ experience within a production facility, regulated field highly preferred. Or, any satisfactory combination of experience and training which clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the above-described duties.
- Knowledge of plant cultivation and cultivation facility operations, including topping procedures, weeding out bad clones, and keeping a uniform canopy
- Critical-thinking, problem-solving, planning and assessment
- Computer literacy in word processing, database management, windows-based software and point of sale applications
- Knowledge of medical cannabis policy and law
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Effective time-management and ability to multi-task
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment
- Requires work around plant material, which could include exposure to plant pollen and/or dust.
- Requires ability to sit, stand, and/or do repetitive actions with your hands for long periods of time.
- Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs to torso level.
