About This Job
As a Data Analyst Intern on our Enterprise Analytics & Business Intelligence (EABI) team, you will gain hands-on experience working with data and building skills in analytics, reporting, and visualization. You’ll work alongside experienced analysts who will mentor you on meaningful project work, exposure to real-world tools, and the banking business. In addition, the Data Analyst Intern will network, collaborate, and present with peer interns from across Commerce Bank.
Essential Functions
Write efficient data queries to varied types of products and customer analysis.
Develop dashboards and analysis to support consumer lines of business requests.
Compile data analysis and reporting for data analysts.
Present data analysis summary results to team members and business line leadership.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Hybrid Schedule: In office 2-3 days per week
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Motivated to learn and apply data analysis concepts in real-world use cases.
Organized; self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Education & Experience
Prefer a sophomore/junior with an Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related major.
PC Skills include Microsoft Office with basic proficiency in Excel.
Basic understanding of SQL is strongly preferred.
Exposure to Python, Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau, or data engineering concepts is a plus.
