Description

Provide the overall financial and operational leadership for the PeoriaCorps Program.

Examples of Duties

  • Identifying and securing external funding.
  • Grant writing, submissions, and reporting,
  • Directing the program and evaluating performance.
  • Supervising the Crew Supervisor.
  • Responsible for curriculum development and review.
  • Identifies service projects and green infrastructure maintenance projects.
  • Creates metrics to evaluate program performance.
  • Provides reports on program performance.
  • Builds and maintains community and recruitment partnerships.
  • Markets and brands the program.
  • Recruitment and hiring of PeoriaCorps Members.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and three to five years of progressively responsible related experience required. A valid driver's license or the ability to meet the transportation requirements of the job required. Must pass the AmeriCorps required background check and fingerprinting prior to hire.

  • Managerial experience
  • Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job considered.

Supplemental Information

  • Knowledge of the mission and objectives of PeoriaCorps and state and federal grant programs and grant application processes.
  • Skill in management supervision; writing and editing; and interpersonal, organizational and communication.
  • Ability to communicate and effectively interact with people from diverse backgrounds and/or demographics.
  • Read literature, books, reviews, scientific or technical journals, abstracts, financial reports, and/or legal documents.
  • Deal with a system of real numbers and practical application of fractions, percentages, ratios/proportions and measurement; to write reports.
  • Prepare business letters, expositions, and summaries with proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar, using all parts of speech.
  • To ensure grant compliance and reporting requirements; manage and prioritize multiple projects with conflicting deadline pressures and competing priorities.
  • Monitor budget/fiscal expenditures.
  • Work independently with limited supervision.
