Public Works Director

The City of Pekin is seeking an experienced Public Works Director to lead in a highly responsible executive staff-level position by providing the Department of Public Works with leadership and strategic direction. The Public Works Director provides leadership to a team of 5 managers and over 50 field staff. This work is performed under the direction of the City Manager.

Normal working hours for this position will be Monday through Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM but will be subject to change depending on operational needs of the organization.

The employee occupying this position shall be required to live within the corporate limits of the City of Pekin. Any exemption to this residency requirement must be authorized in writing by the City Manager and approved through consensus of the City Council.
