Here at CHAIL, employees experience a “People First - Culture of Care” working atmosphere. From the most tenured staff to the newest team member, everyone is welcomed into a community that prioritizes diversity, equity, wellness, belonging, and good health. Starting with our CEO/President and migrating to every employee, this agency takes pride in taking care of each other. We believe if our employees are cared for, they can better live out the mission of the agency which is to help the kids and families who need it most. By putting our people first at CHAIL, they have the opportunity to share their expertise, talents, and passions with clients as they are changing the lives of the kids who will change the world. Our employees at CHAIL will tell you that they love working for the agency because they love what the agency does!

About the internship:

An intern position with our clinical program would be trained to provide direct clinical services to children ages 3 to 18 and their families. The direct clinical services provided by the clinical intern would include therapy/case management services for client/client's families and coordination with community collaborators on behalf of clients. The intern may provide individual, group and family clinical services to clients in their home and out in the community. The intern would be required to represent the program and agency at internal and external meetings. The intern would also be required to complete Medicaid documentation and other basic core responsibilities. On a weekly basis, the intern may find themselves facilitating and individual session with a child, a family session with their family, teaching parenting skills, advocating for the child with their school or other community resources, teaching social skills to the client, completing assessments, treatment plans, or other Medicaid paperwork. Flexibility is an important quality for this worker to possess.
