CEFCU member service team members are critical to the success of the credit union. They provide a professional, knowledgeable, and caring experience when members contact us. We are looking for individuals who are personable, articulate, and positive to add to our already awesome team!
Gathers information from consumer loan applicants over the phone and via the internet to complete loan applications. Determines appropriate loan type for the member’s request and ensures it conforms to CEFCU policy, procedures, and credit granting guidelines. Reviews credit history from a national credit reporting agency and CEFCU internal systems. Explains the value of payment protection and loan protection insurance to qualified members, Vehicle Service Agreements, and Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) if applicable. Monitors and responds to member Web Chat requests via software. Refers Auto and Homeowners insurance and CEFCU Investment Services (CIS) products and services when appropriate.Core Hours:
Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registration (NMLS) to comply with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (SAFE Act).
- Experience with Microsoft Products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
- Experience in customer service, sales, and/or as a telephone representative in a call center environment.
- Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of critical CEFCU systems and screens within the 10-week training period including, Automated Loan Processing System (ALPS), Consumer Loan Origination System (CLOS), VSA, COL MIF, MAF, CTI, etc.
- Ability to type 35 wpm minimum with accuracy.
- Ability to work in a structured, fast paced and continuously changing environment.
Preferred:
- A proven track record of having strong sales abilities. Must be able to identify selling opportunities and be able to work through the steps of closing the sale. Must have a thorough knowledge of the Creating Member Loyalty program and be effective in administering those techniques and be able to put that knowledge into practice.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of CEFCU mainframe systems and screens.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of CEFCU products and services, including Consumer Loan Origination System (CLOS), loan documentation, title procedures, and loan policies and procedures.
- Experience in consumer lending.
- Knowledge of CEFCU loan policies and procedures.
- Applicable college education and/or commensurate experience.
- Bilingual
Summary Pay Range
The pay range for this position is $18.11 - $21.28.Compensation offered may vary based on skills and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at CEFCU.
