CEFCU member service team members are critical to the success of the credit union. They provide a professional, knowledgeable, and caring experience when members contact us. We are looking for individuals who are personable, articulate, and positive to add to our already awesome team!

Contacts members to arrange payments on first mortgage loans and home equity loans. Directs use of aggressive collection practices. Negotiates with delinquent members to help them keep their homes. Offers appropriate workout options. Monitors accounts to verify payments are made. Sets up automatic payments for payroll deductions, auto-transfers, Automated Clearing House (ACH) origination, allotment payments, and Credit Union National Association (CUNA) disability claim forms. Sets up payment plans for new separations. Investigates and resolves associated problems. Initiates the foreclosure process when appropriate. Keeps current on continuously changing government regulations, foreclosure laws, and secondary market guidelines. Acts as back-up to the First Mortgage Adjuster.

Hours:
Monday -Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires thorough understanding of mortgage and loan processes, Automated Loan Processing System (ALP), Member Information File (MIF), Collection Screen (COL), and mortgage loan origination system.
• Proven ability to resolve conflict, think critically, and respond appropriately to members in heightened emotional states.
• Strong grammar, letter writing, interpersonal, and telephone skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Preferred:
• Thorough knowledge of collection laws and procedures.
• Knowledge of mortgage and home equity processes, procedures, and regulations.
• Working knowledge of secondary market guidelines.
• Applicable college courses and/or commensurate credit and collection experience.

Summary Pay Range

The pay range for this position is $19.71 - $23.17.

Compensation offered may vary based on skills and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at CEFCU.
