Product Owner – SailPoint IdentityIQ

Role Definition:

Serve as the Product Owner for Caterpillar’s deployment of SailPoint IdentityIQ. In this capacity, you will oversee the development and implementation of SailPoint IdentityIQ—an industry-leading identity governance platform—within our organization. This position necessitates a comprehensive understanding of identity and access management principles, along with exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.

What You Will Do:

  • Oversee SailPoint IdentityIQ development, implementation, and product roadmap at Caterpillar.

  • Act as an identity and access management subject matter expert.

  • Collaborate with teams to define project requirements and scope.

  • Prioritize and manage feature backlog for business value and resources.

  • Liaise with stakeholders to align the solution with their needs.

  • Coordinate with developers for on-time, quality feature delivery.

  • Perform user acceptance testing and gather feedback for improvement.

  • Provide clear communication on timelines and updates to management.

  • Monitor trends to drive innovation in identity management.

  • Train and support internal teams on SailPoint features.

  • Track product performance, propose enhancements, and ensure compliance.

  • Continuously improving the product for evolving business and technological needs.

What You Have:

  • Skilled with SailPoint IdentityIQ software.

  • Experienced working within Agile frameworks.

  • Key competencies include leadership, teamwork, strong interpersonal communication, and influence.

Business Understanding & Methods:

  • Capable of developing business cases and mapping out business processes.

General IT Knowledge:

  • Familiar with application brokerage, asset management, migration planning, understanding SLAs, and related responsibilities.

Technical IT Skills:

  • Demonstrates expertise in areas like software engineering, security, data interchange, data management, networking, databases, servers, storage, collaboration tools, or similar technical fields.

Top Candidates Will Have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology (or a closely related technical discipline) from an accredited institution is required, OR an associate's degree plus six years of equivalent, relevant experience.

  • Prior experience as a SailPoint IdentityIQ Product Owner in an Agile team.

  • Strong technical, communication, and influencing abilities.

  • Exposure to various business processes or organizational settings and broad IT discipline experience.

Additional Info:

  • The primary location for this position is Peoria, IL, Irving, TX or Nashville, TN.

  • You must be willing to work 5 days ONSITE.

Summary Pay Range:

$112,710.00 - $183,140.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
