About P&E (Power & Energy):
The Caterpillar Power & Energy Segment (P&E) has a broad portfolio of products and services which include engines, generator sets, industrial gas turbines and locomotives, along with other related equipment depending on the industry and application. We deliver these products and services to Cat machine, oil & gas, power generation, transportation and industrial customers.
Job Summary:
As Senior Procurement Solutions Professional, you will manage projects that together will deliver the generator sourcing strategy in support of Caterpillar’s large engine uplift. You will lead projects liaising with engineering, procurement and supplier teams, drive sense of urgency, ensure stakeholder alignment and drive continuous improvement in project governance. What You Will Do:
Leads projects associated with lean processes, global market understanding, tools, and systems.
Designs and develops solutions, collaborates with senior stakeholders and business users to collect VOB/VOC, business requirements, and prepares implementation plans for successful deployment.
Contributes to strategic initiatives such as the development of standardized best practices, offerings, services and develop the associated tools & training.
Serves as the lead technical representative for a respective discipline, and will work directly with a wide range of procurement / enterprise representatives, including presenting recommendations to senior leaders.
What You Will Have:
Data Analytics: Working knowledge of techniques and processes for inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modeling data; ability to discover useful information, draw logical conclusions, and support decision-making.
Effective Communications: Working knowledge and understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Matrix Management: Working knowledge and understanding of the importance of being able to leverage external resources when required and ability to build and use effective working relationships within own department and across department, functional, and geographic reporting lines.
Cost-Benefit Analysis: Working knowledge of the principles and tools used in cost-benefit analysis; ability to analyze the purpose and scope of a producer, product, process, or project in terms of cost and benefits.
Category Management: Basic understand and knowledge of category management within an organization's goods and services sector; ability to use this knowledge to analyze and improve the end-to-end procurement process and maximize business profitability.
What Will Set You Apart:
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering
Knowledge and experience with Caterpillar Electric Power products
Knowledge of Caterpillar Engineering systems
Experience with product validation
Project management experience (NPI)
Additional Information:
This position can be located in either Lafayette, IN or Mossville, IL and requires 5 days a week on-site availability
Domestic relocation is not available for this role

Travel is expected around 25%, both domestic and international
Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $192,710.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
