Role Overview:
Leads and oversees initiatives focused on process and product improvement, leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, and project management methodologies to drive business results. The role also serves as a trusted advisor to the Director of Operations by helping set priorities and proactively preparing for upcoming commitments through regular engagement.
What you will do:
- Designing and developing programs, including supporting systems and tools, for quality and business process improvement using Six Sigma methodology.
- Leading and managing project portfolios to achieve measurable business process improvements.
- Facilitate sessions that revisit strategy, processes, and practices by gathering feedback on status in order to validate Lean and Six Sigma methodologies are applied and working
- Providing technical training and guidance for Green Belt professionals on the planning, development and implementation of Six Sigma projects.
- Employing Six Sigma methodology into organizational operations to meet business goals and objectives.

Process Improvement: Working understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintains focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services.
Project Management: Extensive knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
Six Sigma Methodology: Working knowledge of the concepts of six sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) methodology; ability to use the methodology to improve the manufacturing processes and control the improvements by eliminating root causes.
Education: Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited institution

- Demonstrated experience leading and delivering high quality work on highly strategic projects with critical deliverables that sometimes have ambitious deadlines.
- Strong facilitation skills.

- Understanding of and credibility in the field of engineering and operations.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical and project management skills.

- Maintains positive and can-do attitude and approach to work.
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
- MBA or Master's degree.

- This position is located in East Peoria, IL and requires 5 days in office

Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $192,710.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
