Caterpillar Inc. seeks Autonomy Project Team Lead at its facility located at 14009 N Old Galena Rd, Chillicothe, IL 61523. Lead the engineering workstream within New Technology Introduction (NTI)/New Product Introduction (NPI) programs. Accountable for the end-to-end product performance, safety, reliability, regulatory compliance, consistency, efficiency, and ease-of-use. Deliver solutions, work with cross-functional teams which involve hardware, software, off-board solutions, and overall customer experience. Work closely with customers to capture or create workflows and a ConOps (Concept of Operations) setting the vision for the application of new technology aligned with the Commercial lead on customer requirements. Develop and maintain the solution functional requirements and MGPP (Multi-Generation Product Plan) aligned with the NPI Lead. Develop and align the strategy within Caterpillar’s ecosystem. Own end-to-end engineering solutions comprised of base machine, on-board, and off-board technologies including coordination of the global development team. Budget forecasting, cost tracking, reporting out and meeting NTI/NPI timelines and deliverables. Work on design-control for the related Vision Link office modules align with the overall Vision Link CI site ecosystem experience. Ensure E2E verification and validation. Support the full product lifecycle including quality targets, change control, product maintenance, and trouble shooting. REQS: This position requires a master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field and 5 years of experience in Construction site technology development, Earthmoving machine technology development or related occupation. In the alternative, employer will also accept a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Information Systems or a related field and 7 years of experience in Construction site technology, Earthmoving machine technology development or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Developing heavy equipment site technology on cross functional development teams to meet timeline, cost, and quality metrics; (2) Telematics and web based application software product development and translating customer requirements into functional requirements.; (3) Azure DevOps for developing and managing requirements and tracking bugs; (4) Off-Board Software Technology Ecosystem for dealer and customer facing applications; (5) Analyzing on-machine telematic data to generate valuable customer insights; (6) SAFe Agile software development environment with concurrent teams; (7) Validating concept and products through user acceptance testing; and (8) FIGMA application. Travel: up to 15% travel domestic and international. Telecommuting: None.

Summary Pay Range:

$176,301.00 - $208,770.00
