The Manufacturing Applications team of Caterpillar IT is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to be a team leader, providing technical guidance and project management for a variety of manufacturing applications used globally at Caterpillar.
Significant responsibilities will include managing support and development work efforts; communicating with application users; evaluating new technologies that can improve team efficiencies; and directing offshore teams.
What You Will Do:
Provide technical and delivery leadership for the development, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of multiple global manufacturing systems.
Own planning and execution of support and development work across a portfolio of manufacturing applications, ensuring alignment with business priorities and operational needs.
Partner with manufacturing facilities and business stakeholders to define and refine requirements, lead user acceptance testing, and coordinate deployments with minimal production impact.
Drive disciplined, high‑quality deployments through strong process control, standards adherence, and continuous improvement practices.
Ensure applications remain secure, stable, and compliant by proactively addressing vulnerabilities, required updates, and forced changes.
Collaborate with infrastructure and platform teams to manage application environments and resolve cross‑functional dependencies.
Lead and mentor team members, providing guidance during complex issue resolution and reinforcing best practices.
Communicate clearly and effectively with diverse audiences—including business partners, developers, infrastructure teams, and leadership—adapting messaging to support informed decision‑making.
What You Have:
Ability to work with people from a variety of backgrounds
Good communication skills
Ability to analyze issues and make recommendations
Top candidates will also have:
Looking for self-starters who can be proactive about keeping applications up to date and looking for ways to better meet customer needs
Experience managing a global team (of both Cat and Agency resources)
Understanding of ITSM processes

Summary Pay Range:
$112,710.00 - $183,140.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
