The Remanufacturing Division has an excellent opportunity within our product team as the Manager NPI for Hydraulics in Mossville, IL. This position is responsible for directing a team of NPI leads and engineers to support and grow the $200M+ revenue business annually. This opportunity presents candidates with the ability to impact global sustainability, understand the Caterpillar Remanufacturing business, and develop new technologies to be implemented in a manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Product line leader for all hydraulic components
  • Creates vision and direction for the business and translates it into a series of near term and long-range strategies and functional plans
  • Leads team in market research, identifying market/customer requirements leading to new model development and introduction plan
  • Execute the NPI Requirements Management Process and deliver critical customer and business requirements
  • Collaborate with business partners and develop SMART goals
  • Prioritize and manage workload of the team
  • Lead and inspire the Hydraulics team to deliver NPI activities efficiently and maximize OPACC
  • Ensure clarity of program deliverables, scope, timelines, and delivered results
  • Leading the team to successful quality goals related to CPI and warranty
  • Evaluate new component salvage projects and techniques. Develop and execute validation plans to ensure salvage projects meeting quality and warranty goals
  • Involved in all NPI decisions and activities (concept, design, build, test, release and production)
  • Develop the team in a continuous improvement mindset to grow OPACC
  • Lead and develop the team to successful collaboration with suppliers on technical issues
  • Recruit and develop personnel to secure the talent pipeline for business growth
  • Direct leadership responsibility for a global team of engineers and NPI leads

What You Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in engineering or business
  • 3+ years of leadership experience through direct or in-direct leadership
  • Proven business acumen skills
  • The position requires knowledge of company products and product applications
  • Hydraulic product engineering experience or product understanding
  • Ability to solve complex issues or problems through careful analysis and diagnosis
  • Prior experience of NPI Programs – program lead, team member, sub-team leader, etc.

What Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Background in design and manufacturing of hydraulic components
  • Experience of gathering, understanding and delivering customer requirements based on market intelligence
  • Experience and understanding of Reman processes
  • Proven experience collaborating with global teams
  • Experience working with suppliers
  • Strong commercial, business, engineering, and manufacturing skills with an understanding of product development and supply chain.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Summary Pay Range:

$159,120.00 - $238,680.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
