Job Purpose
Are you a creative, strategic thinker looking to make an impact? We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Consultant to lead the development of a comprehensive Rental and Used experiential marketing and internal communications strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing innovative event marketing campaigns and developing a full communication plan and execution framework for the Marketing, CX, and Digital teams. This includes both internal and dealer-facing communications.
In Caterpillar Rental and Used (R&U), our mission is to support the Cat dealer network to deliver customer rental solutions and profitably grow dealer rental revenue, customers, and coverage. You will be part of a very rewarding endeavor to grow rental customers by providing platforms to engage with prospects, increase brand visibility, generate leads, and drive clear communication that supports organizational alignment and execution.
What You Will Do (Job Duties)
Plan and execute marketing events—including trade shows, conferences, and promotional activations—to support brand visibility and customer engagement.
Conduct market and competitive research to identify growth opportunities and inform event, sponsorship, and customer‑focused marketing strategies.
Develop and manage internal and dealer-facing communications that ensure alignment with the overall R&U Marketing Strategy and drive operational execution.
Build, distribute, and optimize communications using Populo, including audience segmentation, distribution list management, and workflow oversight.
Create and implement innovative sponsorship activation plans and collaborate with the R&U social marketing lead to support social content strategy and execution.
Lead the development, enhancement, and ongoing management of the self‑service promotional merchandise platform.

Vendor/Supplier Management: Knowledge of external provider management processes and ability to effectively manage the business relationship with external providers (e.g. vendors, service providers, contractors, consultants and suppliers).

Travel Requirements: Up to 15%
The primary location for this position is Peoria, IL.

Summary Pay Range:
$97,530.00 - $146,290.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
