Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence.
As a Business Order Management Solutions Engineer, you will ensure our dealer order management system runs efficiently by supporting day‑to‑day operations, resolving issues, and enabling continuous improvements. You will also play a key role in a multi‑year implementation of a new order management system, defining requirements, testing solutions, and partnering across the business to ensure successful delivery.

- This role is located in Morton, IL and does not offer relocation or sponsorship
- This role is 1st Shift: Monday through Friday
- This role is 100% on-site with no opportunities for hybrid or remote schedules
- This role requires up to 5% domestic travel
What You Will Do:
- Identify, define, and implement integrated supply chain solutions and performance improvements, including building internal and external alliances to explore opportunities.
- Establish effective linkages, partnerships, and best practices with business partners and internal functions.
- Collaborate across multiple business organizations to capture solution requirements and effectively communicate, document, test, convert and support the implemented SAP S4HANA solution.
- Develop and analyze data and information to identify and prioritize opportunities for improving performance and creating more cost-effective supply chains, system solutions, inventory utilization, and business partnerships.
What You Have (Basic Requirements):
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
- Process Improvement: Understanding and insight into evaluating current system solutions and business processes with the ability to maintains focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services.
What Will Set You Apart (Top Candidates Will Have/Preferred Skills):
- Information Technology, Engineering, or Business degree and/or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of logistics and management; ability to follow proper processes for effective and efficient movement of materials and finished products.
- Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

Summary Pay Range:
$97,530.00 - $146,290.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
