Integrated Components Division (ICD) provides exciting opportunities for accountants who want to be challenged and are interested in being directly involved with the business decisions for products that go into every Caterpillar machine produced. This open position is an Accounting Manager in Wear & Maintenance (W&M) Consolidations. The role will provide support to the Wear & Maintenance Operations organization, which is a fast-paced, innovative, and growing global organization.
The W&M Accounting manager role is a key leadership role providing financial planning and analysis (FP&A) support to the Wear & Maintenance organization. The incumbent will demonstrate and develop leadership skills, communication, presentation, and financial analysis skills, along with regular interactions with senior leadership within Wear & Maintenance and ICD. The position will report to the ICD Consolidations FP&A Manager and will provide direct support to the Wear & Maintenance Business Resource Manager.
What You Will Do:
- Lead 2 direct reports focused on providing insights on ICD Wear & Maintenance financial results to assist senior management with business decisions.
- Lead the Wear & Maintenance component cascade process for actuals and forecast periods.
- Lead Wear & Maintenance financial reporting and analysis activities, including supporting component methodology processes and customer support.
- Upon request, take part in special projects and ad-hoc reporting.
- Champion the use of new technologies and tools for analyzing financial data and driving efficiency improvements to monthly / forecasting processes.
What You Have:
- Education/Experience: This position typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and 6+ years of job-related experience
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.
- Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.

- Demonstrated ability to learn and explain complex accounting methods
- Proven record of success and accomplishments in prior positions
- Proficiency with advanced reporting tools such as Axiom, Power BI, and OneStream.
Additional Information:
- The primary location for this position is Peoria, IL and is full time in office

Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $192,710.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
