The SPPD team is working with urgency to ensure we are delivering the products needed to meet customer commitments, now and in the future. We are driving proactive readiness and transformational strategy and process structure to support this objective.
In this role as Senior Manager, Supply Chain, you will manage a team that oversees the planning and execution of key processes within the enterprise capacity planning program. The role is instrumental in the strategy and process ownership of company Capacity and Agility processes. Also the role provides leadership in executing capacity & agility work with Prime Product Groups and Facilities.
Responsibilities
• Maintaining communications with supply chain, operations, procurement, logistics, and product group teams, creating integrated processes to deliver aligned capacity across the supply chain.
• Managing and directing a team of Supply Chain Planning Engineers.

What you will do:
• Lead a highly engaged team to support enterprise capacity initiatives
• Ensure clarity of program deliverables, scope, timelines, and delivered results
• Engage with process partners and customers to ensure continuous alignment
• Ensure robust communication throughout the value chain with necessary urgency
• Act as a link between multiple teams in program execution to drive a consistent approach in gap resolutions and developing recommendations for leadership decisions
•Implement tools to govern processes
• Leadership, coaching, focus, motivation and encouragement to direct reports. Responsible for coaching, developing and mentoring resources
• Responsible for all personnel issues and performance evaluation of direct reports, including development, capability building and succession planning
• Excellent teamwork and leadership skills
• Develop and deploy creative / original solutions to complex problems
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, or other technical field from an Accredited College or University

Forecasting: Extensive Knowledge of forecasting tools, approaches and practices; ability to determine product demand and estimate production requirements and loads.
Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP): Extensive Knowledge of the processes, practices and systems used in manufacturing requirements planning (MRP); ability to optimize planning for manufacturing cycles and ensure capacity and materials availability.
Supplier Management - MFG: Extensive Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice.
Inventory Management: Working Knowledge of processes and methods of inventory management; ability to effectively manage organization's materials, commodities, merchandises, or products.
Logistics Management: Working Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials; ability to understand, predict and control the movement of goods, materials and supplies.

Summary Pay Range:
$159,120.00 - $238,680.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
