Job Summary:

Designs, develops, and implements Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) and physical user experiences, focusing on journey design and seamless collaboration and integration with digital experiences.

What You Will Do:

• Analyze and document business requirements for new HMI features and physical interaction points.
• Design, develop, and implement HMI solutions that support end-to-end user journeys across physical and digital touchpoints.
• Collaborate with digital experience teams to ensure cohesive, integrated user experiences.
• Support existing HMI and physical interfaces, enhancing usability and performance.
• Facilitate design thinking workshops to align physical and digital experience strategies.

What You Will Have:

Creativity: Knowledge of creative approaches and techniques for designing innovative physical and HMI experiences.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze user journey data and make informed design decisions for physical and HMI experiences.

Computer Software & Hardware Integration: Knowledge of HMI technologies and integration with digital platforms.

Human-Centered Design (HCD): Ability to design physical and HMI experiences that meet real user needs.

Journey Design (New Emphasis): Knowledge of mapping and optimizing end-to-end user journeys across physical and digital touchpoints.

User Experience & Interface Design: Ability to design intuitive, ergonomic, and visually effective HMI interfaces.

Summary Pay Range:

$112,710.00 - $183,140.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
