Provides strategic category management expertise, using Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development, and Management (QCLDM) to deliver year-over-year performance improvement.
What You Will Do:
- Develop, communicate, and implement a worldwide sourcing strategy for the Global Seals & Gaskets category managed by RISM.
- Identify performance gaps within the supply base and drive improvement plans.
- Collaborate proactively with the Supply Network on risk mitigation and resiliency strategies to ensure sustainable category performance
- Develop and manage a cost management strategy including cost modeling (geographic and component-based).
- Build and manage a high-performing global category team leveraging Procurement Classification Codes (PCC).
Education Requirement: Degree or equivalent experience desired

Audit and Compliance
- Manages Audit & Compliance (A&C) functions or units.
- Facilitates compliance-related process improvements and implements organizational changes.
- Contributes to A&C strategies and best practices; improves relationships among Audit, IT, and business functions.
Business Intelligence
- Organizes and maintains data for BI applications; evaluates BI products.
- Develops targeted campaigns and processes for transforming data into business information.
- Analyzes BI from diverse environments and evaluates existing activities.
Category Management
- Advises on procurement strategy to realize category management benefits.
- Designs supplier agreements and procurement policies; identifies and solves implementation roadblocks.
- Prepares reports on category management impact and supervises process execution.
- Trains others to ensure streamlined procurement.
Supplier Management – Manufacturing
- Facilitates supplier partnerships; monitors and resolves performance discrepancies.
- Develops quality standards and controls; builds partnerships with multiple suppliers.
- Evaluates issues and terminates relationships as needed; ensures reporting requirements.
Strategic Sourcing
- Monitors execution of strategic sourcing processes; trains others in diverse environments.
- Designs standard supplier agreements and procurement policies.
- Works with complex sourcing components (negotiations, contracting, process improvement).
- Consults on sourcing methods and develops best practices for the organization and industry.

Summary Pay Range:
$144,960.00 - $217,320.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
