Role Summary:
The Core Embedded Software division is seeking a leader to fill the position of NPI Manager for the Information Product Platforms. This position will provide NPI leadership to the Information Platform teams. The responsibilities will include management of the program timelines, budget, and quality. Additionally, this position provides people leadership for a team of 4 Caterpillar team members, along with technical leadership for a team of about 20 Caterpillar and Agency software developers. This position will interact regularly with system, hardware, and software teams and managers to collaborate on the delivery of Information Platforms.
What you will do:
- NPI Leadership of the Information Product Platforms
- Responsible for Information Platform Gateway Reviews & Design Reviews
- Development & Communication of Information Platform Timelines
- Accountable for developing and managing Information Platform Life Time Estimates
- Meet Information Platform Quality Commitments
- Collaborate with and communicate results to the Machine & Engine Systems teams
- Work with members of the Senior Technology Leadership Forum (STLF) to prioritize information related projects that will benefit the Caterpillar enterprise
- Work with Chief Engineers, Tech Stewards, NPI Managers, Clients, and Process Partners to develop roadmaps and strategies for Information Platforms

- Products and Services: Knowledge of major products and services and product and service groups; ability to apply knowledge of product and service appropriately to diverse situations.
Consideration for top candidates:
- Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering or Computer Science curriculum
- Extensive engineering experience, in roles of increasing responsibility
- Electronics systems, hardware, or software development experience
- Experience with the New Product Introduction (NPI) process
- Supervisory and global team leadership experience
- Demonstrated strong technical and analytical skills
Additional Details:
- This position requires the candidate to work full-time at the Mossville, IL office.

Summary Pay Range:
$156,000.00 - $234,000.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
