FP&A Manager, East Peoria Operations
We’re looking for an FP&A Manager to join our team supporting the Track-type Tractor manufacturing facility in East Peoria, Illinois as part of the Resource Industries Operations and Products (RIOP) division at Caterpillar.
As the FP&A Manager, you will have the opportunity to provide financial leadership and business decision support for the East Peoria manufacturing facility. You will develop essential business information and provide counsel to management for business and manufacturing planning, financial planning & analysis, investment analysis, internal controls, and product costing. This position interacts with and presents to senior leadership. Leads a global team of four financial analysts, including two direct reports.
What You Will Do:
- Lead and manage all aspects of financial analysis and planning for the East Peoria manufacturing facility, including the Profit & Loss, Cash Flow, and Balance Sheet statements.
- Provide insights on the financial results of the business on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Implement new tools and analytics to continuously improve financial analysis and business insights.
- Drive effective and strong coordination with partners across the business.
- Lead financial analysis, providing business insights in the processes like target costs, cost monitoring, investment analysis, and sourcing studies.
- Implement new tools and analytics to continuously improve business partnering.
- Establish and communicate internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley documentation requirements to all facility personnel and ensure high integrity financial reporting through maintaining a strong control environment.
- Participate in strategy development to drive improved financial and operational performance and facilitate strategic business unit planning for upper-level management.
- Develop the best team through coaching, training & development, and career planning.
What Skills You Need to be Successful:
- Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Judgment and Decision Making: Knowledge of the decision-making process; ability to carefully evaluate the impact of emerging business situations and choose the best path forward communicating actions and activities that maximize organizational performance.
- Managing People: Knowledge of processes involved in managing people; ability to lead successful teams, and diligently address issues related to performance and conflicts at the workplace.

- Bachelor’s degree in an Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- Strong communications skills with a passion for asking questions and driving improvements

- Experience in driving financial performance and results through partnering with senior leadership.
- Strong background in accounting, cost accounting, investment analysis, and budget development
- Strong analytical skills are required to perform detailed financial analysis and strategic plans
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Prior leadership experience

Summary Pay Range:
$144,960.00 - $217,320.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
