We have an exciting role open within Caterpillar’s Integrated Components Division (ICD) for a Senior Manager of Finance. In this role, you will be an essential partner and financial advisor to the Product Manager for Wear components as well as the opportunity to interact with and present to the senior ICD leaders. This role will encourage you to continue to demonstrate and develop your leadership skills, utilizing excellent communication, and financial analysis skills. As well as working closely with other groups throughout the enterprise in the machine business units. This role will be heavily involved in leading and implementing strategic initiatives, particularly services growth. You will manage a team of up to 5 accounting/finance professional in the U.S. as well as support personnel in the Analytics Center of Excellence in India.

What You Will Do:

  • Providing a strategic focus, making decisions, and leading complex initiatives, and non-financial business activities within and outside team to represent the group.
  • Working with the Wear and Maintenance leadership teams and enterprise support groups to pull market activity and insights into financials analysis.
  • Active leader in the development and support of business strategies.
  • Proactively interacting with internal customers (machine business units) to develop, understand and manage customer requirements and expectations.
  • Provide guidance and expertise on global business issues of high complexity.
  • Forecasting responsibility for research and engineering (R&E) activities as well as analysis of actual results.
  • Your team will also support R&D cost across various new product introduction (NPI) programs.
  • Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures providing guidance to others in the business.

What You Have:

  • Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes needed for making sound business decisions; ability to apply knowledge to diverse situations.
  • Finance and Accounting: Knowledge of finance and accounting practices, financial analysis, and reporting; ability to apply finance knowledge to diverse situations.
  • Strategic Thinking: "Big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors.
  • Leadership: Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future and how to get there.
  • Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
  • Financial Forecasting and Modeling: Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques of financial forecasting and modeling; ability to explore and evaluate alternative financial scenarios and results.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance related discipline
  • Progressive Accounting or Finance experience
  • 10+ years of accounting/finance/business experience is recommended
  • CPA, CMA, or CFA preferred

Additional Information:

  • The primary location for this position is Peoria, IL (Located in building AB)
  • Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify

  • International and Domestic travel up to 10%

Summary Pay Range:

$169,320.00 - $253,920.00
