As a Senior Manager in Global Tax’s Data & Technology group, you will lead expert analysis on key aspects of complex US tax applications, as well as transformation initiatives, leveraging system and financial expertise such as source systems and US GAAP legal entity accounting acumen, including currency translation and intercompany processes.

What You Will Do:

• Perform critical analysis on complex data inputs and execute processes supporting material tax positions by applying data and business understanding

• Manage applications supporting the Global Tax department, including overseeing the evaluation, development, and ongoing support of technology and data solutions

• Initiate change to replace logic and data sources, leveraging GFSO tools such as AIMS and OneStream
• Providing project management expertise by leading prioritized cross functional, process improvement, and technology related projects to drive synergies and controls

• Oversee transformation of application analyzing granular sales and cost of sales data

• Advise business partners by applying financial data understanding to tax applications

What You Have:

• Education/Experience: The position typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or business related degree

• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts; adapts documents and correspondence for intended audience; Demonstrates both empathy and assertiveness when communicating a need.

• Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches and tools for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving problems; organizes problem solvers and leads to resolution; Analyzes and synthesizes information, and devises alternative resolution strategies.

• Influencing Through Expertise: Ability to use effective influencing techniques to deepen impact or challenge decisions within and outside own organization; Analyzes needs and motivations of others to effectively understand a scenario.

• Financial & Accounting Systems: Knowledge of functions, features, and capabilities of accounting and finance systems and reporting; Manages key interfaces or interdependencies with other applications and participates in enhancements to financial systems and associated business rationale.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

• Understanding of Caterpillar finance and business processes

• Strong communication skills, accountability, organizational skills, project management, and good judgment

• Collaborative and team-oriented personality with the ability to build and foster relationships throughout the organization

• Strong knowledge of M365, One Stream, SAP, and Snowflake

• The primary location for this position is Peoria, IL
• This role requires 5 days a week in office
• Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify

Summary Pay Range:

$144,960.00 - $217,320.00
