Caterpillar is seeking a Senior Manager Human Resources for an exciting role based in Irving, TX or Peoria, IL. This is a key leadership role responsible for the development and implementation of HR strategies aligned with business objectives, provides guidance on HR policies and practices, and fosters a culture of employee engagement and development. The newly formed Integrated Components Division, responsible for component development and manufacturing, is an important element of Caterpillar’s strategy to unlock new opportunities, accelerate innovation and deliver even greater value to our customers. Integrated Components Division is responsible for product design, development, and manufacturing of multiple components such as hydraulics, ground engaging tools, undercarriage, and precision seals as well as manufacturing of drivetrain components, cabs, and structures.

As we deliver for our customer, we accomplish this as one team– creating and delivering world-class components and solutions superior to the competition.

You will play a key role in ensuring the success of the team today, and the future by focusing on employee relations, talent management, and organizational culture across multiple global facilities.

What You Will Do:

  • Acting as a trusted coach providing guidance to leaders and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, compensation, and benefits, etc.
  • Aligning HR policies and programs for their business unit or region which promote employee engagement, retention, and performance.
  • Analyzing HR metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities and develop a story to provide data-driven recommendations to senior management.
  • Collaborating with senior management as a strategic advisor helping identify and prioritize HR initiatives that align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Leading team of HR leaders to collaborate effectively with other Centers of Excellence and serve as thought leaders to the business and HR.
  • Developing and implementing change management methods and materials to facilitate deployment of HR programs and processes within a specific organization.

What You Have:

Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

Global Perspective: Knowledge of issues, opportunities, and challenges for conducting business in the international marketplace; ability to apply global perspectives appropriately in a wide range of situations.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.

Human Resources Consulting: Knowledge of HR approaches, tools and techniques; ability to inform, guide and advise managers in HR-related initiatives.

Additional Information:

  • Locations: Irving, TX or Peoria, IL
  • This is a fully onsite role Monday to Friday in office.
  • To support a global business, there may be a requirement to travel up to 25%.
  • Relocation will be offered.

Summary Pay Range:

$156,000.00 - $234,000.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.

This position requires working onsite five days a week.
