About the role:
The Remanufacturing Division has an exciting opportunity available as a Director of Product Management. In this role, you will be responsible for the Reman portfolio of products for Electronic and Hydraulic components as well as electric/mechanical drivetrain. This position is fully responsible for defining and executing the strategic direction of a P&L.

What you will do:

  • Growth Minded Leadership: Delivering Reman profitable growth will be heavily driven by the results this Product Manager role leads, which is critical to Reman and achievement of its long-term initiatives. This role will define product strategy driving technology road maps for product lines, developing processes demonstration, defining facility and footprint strategy/capital plans, and driving commercial agreements with strategic purchased finished suppliers.
  • Business & Financial Acumen: The incumbent will need to understand the needs and expectations of the customers, the competitive environment in which they operate, and the role of Remanufactured Products in the overall repair options strategy to guide the development and positioning of successful offerings to meet top line sales targets. Ultimate success is measured in a consolidated P&L statement.
  • Communication, Collaboration, & Operational Excellence: This leader is responsible for developing and directly managing product related Purchased Finished (“PF”) Reman suppliers and providing dotted line direction to large internal production operations to deliver across PQVC objectives, increasing manufacturing process and capabilities across the Reman Systems product lines. Product lines include drivetrain, hydraulic pump and motors, valves, rods and cylinders, starters and alternators, motors and generators, ECMs, displays and other electronic components.
  • Process Improvement Techniques: Additionally, this role impacts key quality goals including customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, timeliness, accuracy, efficiency, cost savings, process quality, etc.
  • You will have direct leadership responsibility for:
    • 4 x NPI Program/Engineering Managers
    • 1 Senior Design Engineering Specialist

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree is desired or equivalent product & application experience
  • Previous leadership experience
  • The position requires thorough knowledge of company products and product applications
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated understanding of the NPI process

  • Competitive Environment: Extensive experience and knowledge of business market concepts and principles; ability to utilize the processes, tools and techniques for gathering, analyzing, and communicating information about the competitive environment.
  • Knowledge of Customers: Extensive experience and knowledge of various types of customers and ability to analyze customer activities, profiles and information.
  • Knowledge of Product Line: Extensive experience and knowledge of methodologies, tools and techniques for specific products; ability to develop product line processes and strategies.

Top Candidates Will Have:

  • Background in design and manufacturing of electronic, hydraulic and/or drivetrain components
  • Customer facing business development and/or product support experience in development of repair options strategies for CI/RI products.
  • Experience working directly with suppliers
  • Ability to solve complex issues or problems through careful analysis and diagnosis
  • Thorough understanding of the parts system and aftermarket drivers

Summary Pay Range:

$199,680.00 - $299,520.00
