Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence.

As a Warranty Consultant (Coverage Administration), you’ll manage the coverage process through creation and system implementation of warranty coverages and business rules in accordance with warranty policy. This is accomplished through collaboration with warranty team members, product groups, industry & aftermarket teams, and Cat Insurance Services for implementation and maintenance of warranty, special terms and assurance programs.

What You Will Do:

• Facilitate the creation & maintenance of warranty and special coverages for Caterpillar products

• Responsible for the serial number registration of coverages for special terms

• Collaborate with enterprise business partners on projects that require integration with warranty processes

• Analyze and interpret warranty data and make recommendations to support business decisions

• Data table maintenance ensuring proper setup for warranty

• Answer warranty-related questions from dealers and internal partners

What You Have (Basic Requirements):

• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

• Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.

• Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

• Consulting: Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; ability to apply consulting knowledge appropriately.

• Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

• Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.

What Will Set You Apart (Top Candidates Will Have/Preferred Skills):

• A bachelor's degree

• 5+ years of relevant work experience

• Excellent skills in project management, collaboration, change management, attention to detail, and data analytics/interpretation

• Experience working with Caterpillar dealers, product groups, or industry teams, ideally in product support

• Broad company knowledge and understanding of dealer operations

• Ability to effectively handle difficult and/or sensitive situations with appropriate professionalism to achieve desired outcomes

• Knowledge of Caterpillar warranty policies and processes

• Knowledge of Caterpillar systems (SIMS, RWA, CCSi, SCAS, Claimsi, PowerBI, Snowflake, etc)

Summary Pay Range:

$110,520.00 - $165,840.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
