The Global Construction and Infrastructure (GCI) Division has an exciting opportunity for an Accountant. As the Sales and Marketing arms for Excavation, Earthmoving and Load & Haul, our division operates all around the globe dealing with customers and dealers in a highly competitive environment. This role will be responsible for providing support to GCI Senior Manager FP&A in the areas of Division Monthly accountable closing preparation, budgeting and forecasting activities, and cost structure analysis. This role will help GCI Business Resources to provide analysis and interpretation of the financial condition of the Division or development of product and services strategy.
What You Will Do:
- Prepare monthly BU accountable closing and internal reporting of the division
- Interact with accounting teams to ensure accountable reporting accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare monthly regional dashboards for GCI departments
- Providing analysis on business results, accounting support to regional GCI teams
- Perform trend analysis to report deviation with forecasts and actual costs
- Assist Senior Accountant coordinating Annual Business Plan and Quarterly Forecast exercises
- Perform cost structure analysis, assist regional VPs and managers in controlling costs
- Pilot GCI cost management tool transformation and improve analytics
- Communicate the forecasts to Machine Business Division partners and monitor progress
- Assist GCI Senior Manager FP&A and Senior accountant to support industry and global marketing teams with financial and business-related issues
What You Have:
- Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; 4-6 years of accounting experience
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and with data analytics tool (Power BI)
- Strong analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Solid financial analysis and financial reporting skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Effective communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Experience gathering and analyzing data from diverse sources to drive decisions
What Will Set You Apart:
- Team-oriented with strong initiative and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools, especially Power BI
- Demonstrated ability to drive efficiencies in recurring processes
- Knowledge of US GAAP, General Accounting, accountable/BU reporting and currency are a plus.

Summary Pay Range:
$110,520.00 - $165,840.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
