We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Logistics Engineer in Morton, IL.

Job Summary:

As a Logistics Engineer, you will support the Midwest Container Cross Dock by implementing and continuously improving all logistics processes to maximize efficiency and productivity.

  • This position requires the candidate to work a 5 day-a-week schedule in the Morton, IL office.

What You Will Do:

  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to assist with the implementation of efficient and competitive logistics solutions.
  • Coordinate with customers, operations, and supply chain functions to define critical parameters and develop plans for process control and improvements.
  • Maintain the internal logistics process engineering standards, knowledge, and tools; Assuring their implementation in current and new operations.
  • Evaluate logistics processes and workflows, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for process-related concerns.

What You Have (Required Skills):

  • Collaborating: Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Logistics Management: Knowledge of logistics and management; ability to follow proper processes and run operations for effective and efficient movement of materials and finished products.
  • Problem Management Process - MFG: Knowledge of manufacturing problem management processes, methodologies and techniques; ability to use a disciplined approach to bringing that problem to a successful resolution.

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Skills):

  • Proficiency in analytical programming with tools such as SAS, Oracle, Python, etc.
  • Warehouse Management: Knowledge of the policies, processes and systems of warehouse management; ability to effectively manage one or more warehouses or distribution centers.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

Summary Pay Range:

$95,640.00 - $143,520.00
