Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) is a fast-paced, innovative, and growing global organization. This organization provides exciting opportunities for accountants who want to be challenged and are interested in being directly involved with product business decisions. This open position is a Business Manager on the Engine Systems Products team with LPSD. The role provides support for Hadady, a manufacturing facility recently acquired by LPSD and Aftermarket Parts for both Engines and Drivetrain. The Business Manager role is responsible for all financial related activities of the manufacturing facility. The position is a highly valued member of the local leadership team and partners with other leaders to provide insight and guidance on both tactical and strategic items impacting the facility. This is a unique opportunity to be directly involved in the day-to-day operating activities of a manufacturing facility for Caterpillar.
What You Will Do:
- Monthly financial activities related to ledger closing, statement review, and variance analysis for both actuals and forecast
- Plant cost creation and review
- Facility planning/forecasting for RBM cycles and ABP
- Cost and investment analysis tied to both projects and planned investments
- Implementation of a strong compliance environment
- Establish Caterpillar procedures and processes where applicable
- Management of the integration budget and annual PIA reporting
- Aftermarket parts reporting and analysis, along with OIA support
- Support the GFSO strategy through transformation of processes and automation
What You Have:
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree within Accounting or Finance
- Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
- Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

- This position will be located in Mossville, IL with some travel to Dyer, IN
- This role requires 5 days a week in office
- Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify

Summary Pay Range:
$144,960.00 - $217,320.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
