Product Architect
The candidate will lead and support development activities for an internally produced application (Cyberscope). Provide subject matter expertise and advisory services to grow and secure the product and to meet the requirements of our customers. Additionally, the candidate will support the development of other Border Protection Team applications including the BPT Portal (Web App).
What You Will Do:
Responsible for architecting and developing our internal application “Cyberscope” to realize and grow the service offering.
Responsible for all technical aspects associated with Cyberscope service offering.
Responsible for all documentation of processes related to internal team processes and application posture.
Responsible for all documentation of processes related to customer use of the Application.
Drives execution of all technical work and corresponding coordination of Level I analysts associated with the application/service offering including process documentation.
Serves as the primary technical analyst for Cyberscope application and the efficient realization of documented requirements and benchmarks.
Partners with the Border Protection Team’s product architect in resolving technical matters associated with their product and associated service offerings.
Provides daily operational support and maintenance for one or more products needed to deliver the team’s service offerings.
Interfaces with internal process partners and vendor support staff to resolve technical issues attributed to products supported by the team.
Assist and coach junior developers on the team in day-to-day work.
Create, plan, schedule development of user stories and features for supported products.
Motivates team’s developers to achieve sprint efficiency and delivery milestones.
Perform testing during development processes and QA prior to production deployment.
What You Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Security Engineering/Architecture, Computer Science, or a related field
Strong skillset in application development including various programming languages and frameworks (i.e. Python, HTML, C++, Java, SQL, react, flask)
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
Experienced in Developing web applications with a focus on delivering upon customer requirements.
Good Knowledge of software development processes, security assessments in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process, and secure coding.
Top Candidate Will Also Have:
One or more professional certification(s) from an accredited institution (CISSP, CCSP, GWEB, Linux, Python, CISSP, etc.)
Experience architecting Web applications and integrating existing applications.
Working knowledge of Caterpillar Cyber Security Policies and Directives
Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, as well as written/verbal communication skills.

Information Security Technologies:
Knowledge of technologies and technology-based solutions dealing with information security issues; ability to protect information security across the organization using encryption technologies and appropriate security software.
Information Technology (IT) Security Policies:
Knowledge of IT security policies, standards, and procedures; ability to utilize a variety of administrative skill sets and technical knowledge to ensure cyber security compliance.
System and Technology Integration:
Knowledge of the features and facilities of systems; ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases, and technology platforms.
Additional Info:
The primary location for this position is Peoria, IL, Irving, TX or Nashville, TN.
You must be willing to work 5 days ONSITE.

Summary Pay Range:
$110,520.00 - $179,640.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
