Job Summary:
VisionLink Productivity is a key component of Caterpillar’s digital ecosystem, designed to help customers monitor, analyze, and optimize job site performance. It integrates seamlessly within the Visionlink Ecosystem, combining equipment telematics, machine health, performance and fleet data into a unified, actionable platform. The system delivers jobsite dashboards, data visualizations, and AI-driven insights that support smarter decision-making and operational efficiency. In this position, you will lead the team responsible with design of intuitive, scalable experiences that simplify complex workflows and empower users across roles. Your work will ensure that customers can easily interpret data, identify trends, and take meaningful action to improve productivity. This role is central to delivering innovative, user-centered solutions that support Caterpillar’s goals of profitability, growth, and competitive advantage.
What You Will Do:
- Leading the definition of UX for VisionLink Productivity, from discovery to delivery.
- Working with product/project owners & our market leads to translate complex customer needs into intuitive, accessible, and engaging user experiences.
- Championing user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and validate solutions.
- Driving consistency and excellence across the ecosystem of solutions.
- Mentoring designers and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Education requirement:
Bachelors in Engineering or Visual Communications

- Selects appropriate tools and methods for persona-driven design.
- Develops comprehensive design assets including mock-ups, prototypes, user scenarios, navigation flows, and specifications.
Additional Information:
This position requires the candidate to work onsite five days a week at the Mossville, IL office.
Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.

Summary Pay Range:
$126,000.00 - $204,720.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
