Job Summary:

  • The Warranty Analyst analyzes claims against Caterpillar warranty and insurance policies ensuring compliance with written policy. It’s important for the selected candidate to have strong attention to detail as this role is empowered to regularly make financial decisions on behalf of Caterpillar. The warranty specialist works closely with Product Groups, Cat Insurance and Global Service Partners. Additionally, they represent Global Warranty on various continuous improvement projects and participate in dealer training.

  • This role is located in Peoria, IL and does not offer relocation
  • This role is 100% on-site with no opportunities for hybrid or remote schedules
  • This role may require up to 10% domestic travel

What You Will Do:

  • Analyzes claims against Caterpillar warranty and insurance policies ensuring compliance with written policy
  • Reviews documentation, verifying accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
  • Works closely with Product Groups, Cat Insurance, Dealers, and Global Service Partners
  • Represent Global Warranty on various continuous improvement projects and participate in dealer training

What You Have (Required Skills):

  • Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Skills):

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent skills in project management, collaboration, change management, attention to detail, and data analytics/interpretation
  • Experience working with Caterpillar dealers, product groups, or industry teams, ideally in product support
  • Knowledge of Caterpillar warranty polices and processes
  • Knowledge of Caterpillar service systems (SIMS, SIS, SCAS, etc)

  • You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with dealers and multiple teams across Caterpillar (Product Groups, Cat Insurance Services, and more) to participate in warranty-related projects supporting business needs.

Summary Pay Range:

$87,480.00 - $131,280.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
