We have an exciting opportunity on the North American Merchandising pricing team for a Senior Pricing Consultant. This role will be a trusted advisor and consultant to the Global Construction & Infrastructure retail sales organization to achieve profitable growth through excellent decision support and consulting. This is accomplished through leveraging strong analytical skills, effective communication, and collaborative teamwork across multiple groups at various levels of the organization. This role works closely with Sales and Pricing teams, including senior leaders in those organizations.

The ideal candidate is willing to take on the challenges of a fast-paced sales environment and possesses the ability to thrive in a dynamic business environment. They also have a solid understanding of marketing and sales, process improvement, and is generally excited to learn and grow in the organization.

What You Will Do:

• Analyzes, interprets and communicates a wide variety of data (economic and competitive environment, revenue and profitability, and historical forecasted sales, prices, discounts and price realization) to draw business insights and recommend actions to maximize sales and profitability
• Develops advanced strategic pricing recommendations for new and existing products and services to drive value-based pricing
• Provides thought leadership to key stakeholders in the development of pricing strategies for new and existing products and services
• Executes strategic and tactical price action within a robust pricing governance framework to implement future price changes

• Customer Focus: Facilitates creation of the right products and services to resolve customer business issues. Anticipates customer needs, focusing efforts to proactively meet needs and exceed customer expectations.
• Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.
• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
• Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with internal Caterpillar customers.

Summary Pay Range:

$126,000.00 - $189,000.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
