Job Summary:
As a Marine Application & Installation Engineer, you are responsible for closely working with dealers, other divisions of Caterpillar, marine vessel designers, shipyards, customers, and suppliers to provide technical expertise in pursuit of Caterpillar Defense marine sales and service revenue growth.
What You Will Do:
Collaborate with customers and leadership to scope and execute projects that meet the needs of the business.
Stay up-to-date on new technologies and drive continuous improvement to established techniques
Proficiently gather and communicate technical information (both internal and external), price information, and specification compliance details to develop proposals to dealers/customers.
Coordinate technical support and quote development in collaboration with internal and external suppliers to propose cost-effective solutions to the dealer or customer.
Analyze and determine the optimum technical solution for each project to promote the full suite of Caterpillar products and services via dealers or direct sales.
Influence decisions on technical strategy, solution architecture, equipment selections, technical risk assessments, and selection of non-CAT items for integration.
Train, assist, and guide dealers to promote Caterpillar products in support of increased scope and value-added sales.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations to customers and internal stakeholders.

• Help others solve technical or procedural problems or issues.
Education: Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical/Electrical Engineer or related field.
Additional Information:
Available locations: Dallas, TX or Peoria, IL
This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.

Summary Pay Range:
$110,520.00 - $165,840.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
