Role Summary
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Back-end Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of modern, cloud-based applications hosted on AWS. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building scalable backend services using technologies such as Java and Spring Boot.

What you will do:

• Assist in designing and developing RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to solve technical challenges and deliver high-quality features.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure robust and maintainable code.
• Contribute to documentation, including technical specs and user guides.
• Learn and apply best practices in software development, including agile methodologies and DevOps tools.
• Communicate with team members and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

What you will have:

• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
• Software Development: Knowledge of software development tools and activities; ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements.
• Software Integration Engineering: Knowledge of software integration processes and functions; ability to design, develop and maintain interfaces and linkage to alternative platforms and software packages.
• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  

Consideration for top candidates:

• A strong interest in backend development and eagerness to learn.
• Experience working with Java 8+, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
• Experience working with relational databases such as Postgres, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Good problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Some exposure to cloud platforms, preferably AWS, is a plus.
• Experience working with Kotlin is a plus, but not required
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML/CSS, JavaScript (Angular or React) is a plus

Additional Details:

This position has the option to be based out of either our Chicago, IL, Peoria, IL, or Irving, TX (Dallas), or Broomfield, CO offices.

Summary Pay Range:

$87,480.00 - $142,200.00
