Job Description
Caterpillar’s world-class supply chain is a critical strategic advantage that enables us to maintain an edge in the industries and markets we serve. To maintain this leadership position, we have established the Supply Center of Excellence (CoE) team within the Strategic Procurement Division (SPD), where we can best leverage this advantage. If you have the personal drive to help and take our supply processes to the next level, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join this team as a Process Owner Leader. The Supply CoE’s vision is to leverage people, processes, and tools to drive consistent alignment with our extended value, ensuring Caterpillar's supply chain sets the bar for our industry.
As the Enterprise Supply Capacity Process Leader, you will use your innovative and inquiring mind, collaborative skills, and ‘can-do’ attitude to have a direct impact on realizing this vision.
What You Will Do:
- Lead or support projects in the supplier capacity space such as Resiliency Through The Cycles (RTTC), Process Owner for Enterprise Supply Capacity, calculation of ECCP for critical suppliers, future enhancement to standard work, and training Caterpillar resources and suppliers, etc, with the focus on clarity and alignment to supply and demand gaps.
- Collaborate with procurement vertical team members to drive standard capacity process for purchasing finished suppliers and internal finished suppliers
- Support the implementation of Network Planning and Execution (NPE) with a focus on tool development, standard work, ECCP growth plans, etc.
- Drive continuous improvement in the process and tools, pursuing the highest possible efficiency and output through collaboration and challenging the status quo.
Degree Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Top Candidates will also have:
- Understanding of supply chain and procurement software – DVT, E2Open, SCP Lite, IPT, GSN Portal, Tableau, Mach1, MAMM, MFG Pro, CBS, etc.
- Experience in supply chain, procurement, manufacturing engineering, or related analytical roles.
- Proven ability to contribute to supplier capacity planning and procurement strategies.
- Strong understanding of operational processes that support sourcing and supplier management.
- Experience working with the supply base with an understanding of how to get the best out of a supplier.
- A good understanding of LEAN processes and how to identify and drive out loss across the scope of initiatives and the network.
- Demonstrated exceptional verbal and written communication skills across the varied levels of organizations.
- Facilitation skills are demonstrated through your ability to manage projects, lead discussions, and guide teams through the execution of high-impact initiatives.
- Demonstrated resiliency in working with internal and external partners.

- The location for this position is Dallas, TX or Mossville, IL,
- This position requires up to 15-20% travel.

Summary Pay Range:
$126,000.00 - $189,000.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
