Job Summary:

Join us as a Senior Design Engineer and become a key player in driving innovation and excellence within our organization. In this exciting role, you will design, develop, and implement new technologies to enhance APQP tools, processes, and analytics. As the Enterprise Lead, you will oversee the software applications used for Requirements Management (RM), Design and Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), and Control Plans. Your responsibilities will include maintaining these tools, leading continuous improvement initiatives, providing training, and offering support to ensure seamless operations. You will also lead the deployment of dashboards to leverage data analytics to boost product development efficiencies. Your efforts will directly contribute to the satisfaction of thousands of users, making a significant impact on our product development process. What You Will Do:

  • Ensure Optimal Performance: Maintain and enhance the functionality and performance of Enterprise Requirements Management, FMEA, and Control Plan software.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback from internal customers to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing overall customer satisfaction.
  • Manage Projects Efficiently: Oversee project progress and costs, communicate status updates with stakeholders, and collaborate with functional areas to address and resolve any issues.
  • Collaborate for Success: Work closely with the IT team and external vendors to resolve issues and deploy enhancements, ensuring client success.
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert: Develop expertise in the tools and processes, becoming the go-to person and subject matter expert (SME) for the enterprise.

Education Requirement:

  • Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum

• Directs the matrix computations performed to transform objects in coordinate space.

• Consults on benefits and drawbacks of top-down design vs. bottom-up design.

• Compares and contrasts uses of bird's-eye views and worm's-eye views.

Product Design - MFG:

• Develops improvement plans for senior management and evaluates the outcome of the design against the functionality.

• Advises others on the development of multiple products and their functionality.

• Trains others on advanced tools and approaches of product design.

• Monitors the processes and procedures of a complex product design to ensure functional requirements are met.

• Evaluates feedback from customers and consults on functional weaknesses.

• Controls design and development costs of a proposed product through effective resource coordination.

Product Design and Development:

• Develops organizational standards and processes to maximize complex product services' efficiency and effectiveness.

• Creates and introduces new techniques that expedite or simplify the development process.

• Supervises the management of multiple and diverse types of products or services.

• Develops proof-of-concept exercises to prove or disprove validity of proposed products.

• Advises on the appropriate solutions to complex product design and development problems.

• Designs working prototypes of a variety of proposed products or services.

Additional Information

The location for this position is Mossville, IL.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Any relocation costs incurred would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.

This position will require less than 10% travel.

Summary Pay Range:

$110,520.00 - $165,840.00
