Job Summary:

This position is for Engineering Specialist to support the Autonomy Connectivity group. This individual will be part of an engineering team developing and integrating remote control systems for surface handling machines., software architecture and validation background with knowledge in end-to-end real time high-definition video transmission systems that fuse different communication features and functions together. The position will require a strong quality focus through design reviews and interaction with downstream integration points.

What You Will Do:

  • Design and define system requirements and architecture for various connectivity projects, including C-V2X (Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything), public and private LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi and SD-WAN technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals and industry standards.
  • Develop detailed technical specifications and documentation for connectivity solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to evaluate potential solutions and their impact on existing systems.
  • Work closely with software and hardware development teams to ensure seamless integration of connectivity technologies.
  • Participate in design reviews, testing, and validation processes to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to connectivity systems and technologies.
  • Mentor and coach other engineers in the team and provide technical leadership
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in cellular, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN technologies and connectivity standards

Education requirement:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in an accredited Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent technical field.

What skills you will have:

Technical Excellence:

  • Proven knowledge in designing and defining system requirements and architecture for complex systems (preferably Networking applications)
  • Strong understanding of Network technologies and protocols along with connectivity standards
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles related to connectivity systems is desirable
  • Prior knowledge in testing and validation of complex systems (preferably Networking applications)
  • Prior knowledge in converting customer requirements to technical requirements
  • Prior knowledge in software development and understanding of software design principles
  • Knowledge using requirement management tools like Jama, DOORS
  • The individual must have good systems knowledge of product development
  • Data analysis and systems analysis expertise are needed to help troubleshoot complex issues from test or customer sites, and to examine information from test sites to improve overall systems performance

Effective Communications:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams including, but not limited to, Software development teams, Product groups, Hardware, Validation and Cybersecurity
  • Clearly document and communicate designs, project schedules and tradeoffs with stakeholders and internal and external suppliers at multiple levels.
  • Work within a small team and be involved in various aspects of the NPI product development cycle; design, development, product quality and validation

Managing Multiple Priorities:

  • Ability to handle multiple programs at a time by managing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adjusts to changing priorities, navigating unforeseen challenges with a proactive mindset

Summary Pay Range:

$126,000.00 - $204,720.00
