As a Senior Product Consultant, you'll be at the forefront of solving complex challenges in the mining industry, specifically focusing on maintenance products like Fluids and Filters. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders, including customers, regional business partners, dealers, and product groups, to drive innovative solutions and enhance customer satisfaction.
What you will do:
Strategic Growth Planning: Develop and implement growth plans, leveraging Salesforce to share valuable customer insights, identify opportunities, and celebrate successes.
Field Trial Support: Lead and support customer field trials to boost incremental sales and demonstrate the value of our products in real-world scenarios.
Training and Development: Provide comprehensive training to customers, dealers, and business partners, ensuring they are well-equipped with the knowledge and skills to succeed.
Best Practices Advocacy: Promote and encourage best practices among mining dealers to enhance efficiency and performance across the board.
What skills you will have:
Customer Focus: Experience in Customer and Dealer Engagement for Marketing, Sales, or Engineering. Field experience is a plus, and mining experience will set you apart. Strong business acumen. Understanding of the buying criteria and critical customer requirements.
Products and Services: Knowledge of maintenance products like Fluids and Filters; ability to apply knowledge of product and service appropriately to diverse situations.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Relationship Management: Understanding of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Additional Information:
This position requires the candidate to work full-time at the Peoria, IL office.
Domestic relocation assistance is available.
This position may require 25-50 % travel.

Summary Pay Range:
$126,000.00 - $189,000.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
