The Resource Industries Sales, Services and Technology (RISST) division is one of the most exciting, global and customer-focused organizations across Caterpillar. We are responsible for the go-to-market strategy for surface and underground mining; and we are focused on delivering growth and the ultimate customer experience through advanced technologies including automation and electrification, integrated site solutions and more!
As a Senior Product Consultant, you'll be at the forefront of driving innovation and growth in the Resource Industries (RI) Powertrain. You will work closely with customers, regional business partners, dealers, and product groups to tackle complex mining challenges and deliver exceptional solutions.
Here's a glimpse of what your exciting role will entail:
Fuel Growth Initiatives: Partner with regional and product group business partners to support and execute strategic growth plans.
Identify and Bridge Product Gaps: Pinpoint areas for improvement and develop comprehensive project plans to address these gaps, ensuring our offerings remain top-notch.
Empower Through Training: Provide essential training to customers, dealers, and business partners, equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.
Champion Best Practices: Advocate for and implement best practices among mining dealers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
What skills you will have:
Customer Focus: Experience in Customer and Dealer Engagement for Marketing, Sales, or Engineering. Field experience is a plus, and mining experience will set you apart. Strong business acumen. Understanding of the buying criteria and critical customer requirements.
Products and Services: Knowledge of Powertrain components is a plus; ability to apply knowledge of product and service appropriately to diverse situations.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Relationship Management: Understanding of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Additional Information:
This position requires the candidate to work full-time at the Peoria, IL office.
Domestic relocation assistance is available.
This position may require 25-50 % travel.

Summary Pay Range:
$144,960.00 - $217,320.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
