The Global Construction & Infrastructure (GCI) Corporate Account management team is looking for a Senior Corporate Account Manager with responsibility to cover Product Support needs of Global Accounts.
In this role, you will maintain effective internal partner relationships and relationships with major customers so that sales objectives can be achieved. You will develop and execute account strategies and activities for assigned accounts, identifying business needs and problems and be accountable for the development and implementation of market strategies as well as securing commitment of Caterpillar and Dealer resources to assure continued customer satisfaction. A strong focus in Technology products and ability to create and manage expectations around Total Cost of ownership modeling will be critical.
What You will do:
- Consult with dealers and internal business partners on the subject of sales and service support of product to “corporate account” customers.
- Designing processes for informing customer of rates, shipping date, anticipated delays and any additional information needed by the customer.
- Working directly with customers to collect information, sell additional products and services to current customers, and ensure customers' needs are met.
- Following organizational policies and procedures, staying abreast of compliance requirements, and maintaining clear and direct line of communication within the organization to meet customer requirements.
Skills You Have:
- Customer focus, Relationship Management and Effective communications – Expert level of proficiency : Ability to maintain productive, long-term relationships with clients or vendors, clear and effective communications, and to facilitate the creation of the 'right' products and services to resolve customer business issues.
- Value Selling – Expert level of proficiency: ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs. Qualifies sales prospects based on a clear understanding of customer business needs and the service company's determined ability to meet those needs.
- Negotiation, Decision making & Critical Thinking – Expert level of proficiency: ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner and accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Can detail the risks of negotiation breakdown from each party's perspective and protect own position, while demonstrating willingness to achieve win-win.
- Account Management – Extensive level of experience: ability to manage day-to-day activities, providing services and support to existing clients and to advise on the appropriate solutions to complex customer accounts problems.
Top Candidates will also have:
- Specific industry experience with Construction Industry products, services, work tools and digital solutions exposure
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in engineering, business or marketing
- Extensive commercial experience involving dealer and/or customer facing positions
Additional information:
- Location: Peoria, IL
- Travel: requires up to 50%, domestic and international
- Caterpillar operates in a hybrid work environment, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week of onsite, in office work.

Summary Pay Range:
$153,000.00 - $229,440.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
