Job Summary:

We have a great position in the Global Planning and Demand Management group to provide leadership to our product distribution through Equipment Processing Centers (EPCs). This role will have the opportunity to support machine distribution by influencing and recommending the right business decisions, leading and supporting our digital product teams as well as interacting with many organizations within the Caterpillar enterprise. This position interacts with and presents to certain senior leadership, project teams, as well as the many internal customers within Caterpillar. In the end, project execution and delivery of all related activities rests with your leadership.

Leads one or more engagements to understand, analyze, develop and recommend Strategy & Planning (S&P) solutions as a divisional lead or for a business segment.

Leads and coaches project teams in the definition and execution of projects and support of strategic priorities. Partners with business leaders to support strategic priorities.

What You Will Do:

Relative to execution in the delivery of digital capability support Equipment Processing Centers: Ensuring project execution and delivery across all workstreams, structure and lead teams, manager overall project plan with development, deployment, and on-going maintenance, risk and issue log management and ensure solution functional works across the digital product portfolio on GPDM.

• Leads analyses and solution development for key engagement module(s) as a divisional lead or for a business segment. Performs more complex activities

• Works closely with clients to define the business problem, issues and planned approach for one or more engagement components as a divisional lead or for a business segment. .

• Oversees performance of S&P engagement data collection, research and reporting activities and staff as a divisional lead or for a business segment. Coaches junior team members and clients.

• Provides recommended solutions. Works with senior consultants / managers to develop and deliver client presentations as a divisional lead or for a business segment.

• Manages complex and/or confidential projects or facilitation events requiring high level skillset to produce desired outcomes.

• Oversees the execution and development of project consultants supporting key strategic initiatives.

• Collaborates with business leaders on using a disciplined project management approach and coaching them on their project-related roles and responsibilities.

• Executes within the Modern Order Management delivery structure and framework to achieve stakeholder alignment through structured gateways.

Education Requirement:

• Monitors and measures satisfaction, ensuring quality of own deliverables and those of team.
• Applies knowledge, tools and technical expertise as evidenced by the creation of noted value to clients, that is tailored to their specific needs.
• Selects and uses appropriate diagnostic tools, methods and techniques and actively seeks out new and appropriate tools.
• Identifies, quantifies and manages issues impacting on project delivery.

Program Management:

• Evaluates risks and vulnerabilities and creates contingency plans.

• Advises others on preferred tools, techniques and methods for estimating program cost and time.

• Conducts regular and ad-hoc program reviews with project managers, team and clients with an understanding of the gateway structure for program approvals.

• Coaches others in maintaining open communication among project managers and interested parties.

• Oversees reporting requirements and creates monitoring and control mechanisms.

• Plans, estimates, staffs, organizes and monitors a set of projects within a program.

This position may require up to 25% travel.
