Job Summary
Caterpillar's Product Support & Logistics Division (PSLD) is seeking an Accountant in Morton, IL. This highly motivated individual contributor will advise and provide guidance to multiple functional areas as it relates to PSLD's Transformation initiatives, including support of services growth.
What You Will Do:
- Support PSLD teams with financial expertise as they execute on the division strategy.
- Collaborate across segment groups to ensure support of enterprise goals.
- Develop new tools and analytics to streamline reporting and deliver business insights.
- Maintain governance over reporting and processes as they relate to Transformation initiatives.
- Participate in strategy development and key initiatives as necessary.
What You Have:
- Education/Experience: This position typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or business-related degree and 3+ years of job-related experience.
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
- Strong communication skills, intellectual curiosity, and interpersonal skills.
- Initiative, leadership, good judgment and accountability.
- Ability to resolve issues independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
- Excellent business acumen along with familiarity with tools such as Excel, Power BI, Axiom/Snowflake.
