The Opportunity:

In this role the Pricing Consultant will partner with GCI industry teams to guide the execution of dynamic and differentiated sales variance strategies that align with product and enterprise goals for revenue, profitability, and PINS with a high level of direct involvement with senior leaders and increasing level of independence.

Responsibilities:

• Primary contact for all areas of GCI sales execution team as it relates to sales variance management and consultation
• Consult with GCI Industry team to develop strategy, programs and sales variance initiatives in North America
• Maintain and enhance key sales variance reporting tools to provide customer insights for Industry business partners adapting as industry and customer business trends change (e.g. GCI PowerBi tools, Modeling Tool, Deployment File, etc.
• Lead Industry partner training and recommendations in areas of merchandising framework communication, tactical merchandising changes, corporate practices, policies, tactics and strategy
• Execute approvals of GCI programs, by providing guidance to the sales teams, checking levels of approval, getting approvals and processing the programs in the system
• Engage voice of dealer and business partners to support simplification initiatives
• Develop and maintain internal audit and compliance control documentation in program execution
• Develop strategic insights and pricing recommendations that incorporate pricing data and market intelligence
• Collaborate with business partners on customer pricing strategies to optimize enterprise OPACC and price realization

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree concentrated in business administration, finance, economics, statistics, accounting, engineering or sales and marketing related fields or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years experience in pricing, revenue, or business related experience

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

• 3-5 years of experience as a pricing/revenue analyst, finance analyst or roles in sales, marketing, or accounting
• Proficiency level in Excel
• Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationship with business partners
• Strong analytical ability
• Past experience working with commercial and/or sales teams
• Initiative, results oriented
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Base knowledge of various Caterpillar products, product applications, merchandising programs and business systems
• Soft skills to work through sensitive business problems and change management
