The Global Dealer Learning Account Manager, part of Americas Distribution Services Division (ADSD) is responsible for partnering with Caterpillar Industry groups, primarily CISD/Aftermarket Growth groups, to consult and create global learning solutions, building the dealers’ sales and leadership capabilities. The Account Manager plans and executes learning strategies to support Services Growth in alignment with Global Dealer Learning Career Development Process. You will directly interface with Cat partners/SMEs/dealers as needed to define requirements and execute program deliverables for training in expected timeframes to deploy to Caterpillar global dealers.

Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Leads the design, development, maintenance, implementation, and evaluation of the effectiveness of various programs for Aftermarket Services training programs for dealers, including but not limited to: eLearning & instructor-led curriculums, face-to-face events, webinars, newsletters, etc.

  • Leads the design and development of evaluation measures and metrics for existing and new learning programs

  • Maintains familiarity with state-of-the-art, self-paced curriculum approaches to training. Works with instructional designers to evaluate the various learning deliverables and makes recommendations to manager. Maintains knowledge of existing solutions and other company training efforts for partnership

  • Ensures that the Aftermarket Services training libraries are maintained and that learners are aware of its resources

  • Participates in accomplishment of continuous improvement objectives for the department. Progress toward accomplishment of these is measured through maintenance of necessary measurements and analysis of associated data. Participates in the identification of problem areas and development of resolutions to address them

  • Builds and maintain global dealer relationships

  • Partners with Workforce Development Consultants to meet customer needs

  • Serves as CISD/Aftermarket Service Growth Account Manager with duties defined as, but not limited to: a. Develops and maintains GDL (Global Dealer Learning) program/project timelines for training. b. Structures program/project team(s), work breakdown strategy, processes and deliverables to meet program goals c. Develops deployment timeline and strategy d. Gathers and documents program requirements to provide business cases for resources and tools e. Supports strategic initiatives in collaboration with team members, dealers and other key personnel, as defined by goals and supervisor f. Maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the growth and positive reputation of the GDL team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or progressive work experience

  • Minimum 2 years experience in technical writing/ instructional design

  • Minimum 3 years formal Program/ Project Management experience

  • Minimum 2 years working with Caterpillar programs that impact dealers

  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% of working time (both International and Domestic travel)

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Experience working with Caterpillar learning and development programs that impact dealers

  • Knowledge of the Global Dealer Learning programs and tools

  • Formal experience in developing measurement plans, dashboards and metrics

  • Strong business acumen - Understanding of Caterpillar’s business model and corporate strategy, especially Resource Industry product and service knowledge and experience

  • Ability to facilitate and speak in front of groups

  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally
