Caterpillar has an exciting opportunity for you to join our Global Construction & Infrastructure (GCI) Division's Technology Marketing team as a Global Product Marketing Consultant for Cat Grade and Cat Command technologies. In this role, you will own the global go-to-market execution framework of two major offerings as part of our Construction Industries Technology ecosystem: CAT Grade and Cat Command.
Our Construction Industries is going through a radical transformation driven by unprecedented adoption of technology into our customer's operations, leading to substantial benefits in efficiency and safety. Customers are seeing their technology as the reason for their success. Caterpillar has been leading this transformation by expanding a comprehensive Technology ecosystem for Construction Industries aiming at addressing customer needs. As part of this offering, we are looking at expanding our resources in the area of Cat Grade, which represents our Machine Control and Guidance offering, as well as Cat Command, Cat exclusive Remote Control scalable offering provide full remote machine operation capabilities. This is a role designed for an experienced individual with deep product and sales/marketing background, disciplined and execution-focused enthusiast, ready for a challenging yet rewarding assignment, lending to strategic decisions.
As Global Product Application and Marketing Consultant for Cat Grade and Cat Command, you can expect to:
Own and lead go-to-market execution strategies for Cat Grade and Cat Command, including marketing and commercial actions. You will be able to build on strong foundations how we bring technology to market, including dealer and customer onboarding.
Align, monitor and drive sales and adoption targets achievement working closely with our Construction Digital and Technology partner, our dedicated Technology field team and overall sales teams, dealers and other business partners.
Put together actionable sales tactics working leveraging quantified market opportunities.
Articulate how our solutions help solve customer’s safety, productivity, and profitability challenges and how they compare to other OEM and 3rd party competitors.
Act as one of the key experts on our solutions, able to cover a good level of technical discussions with customers, dealers and technology product group partners.
Be CI’s Global Voice of Market and develop fact-based market driven recommendations to CD&T product group and participate in VOC/VOC prioritization.
What You Have
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (4 years), relevant to the role, can be considered in lieu of a degree.
At least 7 years prior experience with dealer or customer engagement.
Some experience in the machine control and guidance field, either in sales, marketing, product development, support.
Demonstrated ability to organize actionable plans.
Ability to influence and lead others in the work group, dealer network and customers.
Strong entrepreneurship and execution skills, experience in creating new business strategies.
Top Candidates Will Also Bring:
A Master’s degree with a major in Digital and Technology related field.
Additional experience with technology in the Construction industry or mining segments with expertise in the machine control and guidance area, machine automation, autonomy or remote control solutions.
Experience in product, marketing and sales execution of digital and technology products.
Knowledge of CI product line, quarry and construction industries, CAT sales execution model and dealer organization.
