Description

You will lead and participate in the design and development of complex electronic and software engineering product for engine systems. You will take products and solutions to production in a manner to ensure products provide superior performance, durability, quality, and serviceability. You will engage product users to improve products and service to meet quality goals.

Job Duties

The Electronics System Team Lead role is that of principal contributor with CPPD team responsible for development of a products and processes. This position will be to develop solutions for technical software engineering problems and be accountable for the design or improvement of complex electronic engine systems and processes. In addition to demonstrating technical expertise, a person in this position may be called on to act as a team and/or project leader. This person must demonstrate ability to perform on high paced complex project and work with other business units, suppliers, customers, and teams requiring the incumbent to demonstrate skill in negotiation, building consensus, and achieving compromise. Decisions made by this position may be far-reaching, and may significantly impact warranty, patents, products, processes, technology, costs, sales, and customer perceptions.

Key areas of responsibility encountered in this role may include any or all the following: design and promote new products and processes; contribute to establishing strategies; develop and manage the project/program to the plan; perform requirements analysis and develop innovative solutions to meet customer needs; evaluate new products, perform product maintenance: keep up to date on new technologies or develop new technologies; communicate technology to customers, team members, suppliers, and other units; and support and advise other engineers, managers, marketing personnel, customers, and suppliers.

Basic Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering or Computer Science curriculum plus 8 plus years of engineering experience.

Incumbents must have excellent analytical skills and extensive understanding of complex engineering concepts, tools, processes, and applications.

Requires a self-starter with strong technical leadership skills. Must have ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and others in the work group, as well employees in other units, customers, and suppliers.

Top Candidates will also have

Advanced degree in an Engineering or Computer Science curriculum plus 5 plus years of engineering experience.

Embedded Software and electronics development experience

Technical team and project leadership experience

The location for this position is Mossville, IL.

Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.

This position may require up to 10% travel.
