We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Sr. Associate Engineer.

The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream from procurement to design and manufacturing to distribution. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters).

Caterpillar’s Product Support and Logistics Division is looking for a Sr. Associate Engineer in its Mossville, IL Facility. In this role you will have an opportunity to work with a high-performing team in the design and development of innovative new product technologies for rubber and sealing products used in all Caterpillar engines and machines.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for Compressive Stress Relaxation test of rubber sealing materials; accurately record, interpret, and report all experimental data and results

• Develop new or improved material and component test capabilities

• Update standard work and 1E Specifications

• Stay abreast in EU REACH & RoHS regulatory changes and ensure compliance of our sealing products

• Use SigmaSoft® to evaluate and optimize molding processes to support production

• Maintain multiple team websites using SharePoint

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science or Engineering

• 9+ months of relevant engineering experience

• Proficient in Sigmasoft®

• Working knowledge of EU REACH & RoHS

• Experience maintaining SharePoint websites

Top Candidates will also have:

• Design and develop rubber components and sealing products using ABAQUS

• Must have ability to communicate effectively with team members and others in the work group, as well as customers and suppliers

• Experience maintaining materials database

• 6 Sigma Black Belt certification

• This position does not offer relocation

• This position requires 15% or less travel
